Some of the laboratory infrastructure of ELOT was established before its foundation. In the decades of 1980’s, 1990’s and 2000’s, significant investments were made for the establishment or upgrading of the laboratories in order to satisfy the needs in quality control and safety testing of products by Greek companies (and more specifically of the small and medium enterprises), as well as of the Government authorities responsible for market surveillance.
The testing laboratories are:
1. Low voltage Laboratory (electric domestic appliances, luminaires and plugs and socket-outlets)
2. Electric Cables Laboratory
3. Laboratory of toys
4. Polymers and Rubber Testing Laboratory (denomination of Laboratory of Control of Plastic Pipes) in Thessalonica
